Writing Kids' Stories
For the past couple of years I've been writing for the brilliant kids magazine Anorak. The magazine is quarterly and features all sorts of great writing and awesome illustration. I send them short stories and then they have some of the best illustrators out there go at it. It's always such a thrill to see how artists interpret your work. One of my favorite set of illustrations was by Yasmeen Ismail for a story I wrote called, 'How To Catch and Elephant.' The story was about a zoo elephant called Alfredo, who becomes envious of all the attention a baby monkey is receiving. Here's a few of Yasmeen's gorgeous illustrations.
