A Bachelorette Lunch
Yesterday my Amsterdam girlfriends organized the perfect bachelorette lunch. A busload of them (quite literally) rocked up in a red combi van, decked out in gorgeous floaty dresses. They had a prosecco and profiterole bar in the trunk and we danced about on the street until it was time for lunch at Het Rijk van de Keizer Cantine. Over caesar salad, quiche and more drinks they each gave me a gift and a piece of marital advice.
1. Mind your manners. The please and thank-yous are important.
2. Sexy knickers.
3. Remember the way your love feels now and keep remembering as life gets busier.
4. Stay true to yourself, don't become your husband or your family.
5. Don't be afraid to get annoyed at each other and say what's bothering you.
6. Keep the fights clean and the sex dirty.
