The Train Museum
Yesterday we took a trip to the Spoorweg train museum in Utrecht. To Cal's delight there were just as many Tick-Tocks as Choo-Choos. They clearly know their audience. Being Saturday it was packed. The crowd was a little older than Cal. Train-mania seems to peak at around 3, I think.
There were also a few hardened train buffs drinking beers at the cafe tables before 11am and examining their new model train purchases. I wondered is it a bummer for them that their hobby is shared by every 3 year old boy. Does it embarrass them, or do they like being surrounded by kindred spirits, no matter the age?
