Happiness Is A New Stroller

I've been complaining for sometime about just how hard it is to go anywhere with a baby. Cal's getting too squirmy for extended trips in the Baby Bjorn, the bakfiets is excellent for getting places but involves carrying him to and fro in the heavy Maxi Cosi, and the logistics involved in getting the three-wheeler jogging pram we were given up and down 2 flights of stairs is, well it just sucks. Instead of sitting inside moaning about it on another sunny summer day, today Cal and I took matters into our own hands and went and bought a super light-weight Maclaren Quest stroller. The seat lowers quite far back and is padded enough to keep Cal's 4 month old body stable enough. Everything can be opened and folded away with one hand and a foot (design genius) and at just over 5kgs it's light enough to wear over your shoulder like a bag and hike it up two flights of stairs. Cal was positively beaming when we put him in it. I wondered would all the facing-forward action freak him out, but every time I popped my head around he looked like he was loving it! Happy Mama.
