It's Cold in Amsterdam

After some fairly mild weeks it's taken a cold turn here in Amsterdam. My computer tells me it's -3 out this morning and across the canal there's a man using a jumbo Toblerone bar to scrape frost off his car windscreen. Cal has just gone down for his second attempt at his morning nap and outside seagulls are wheeling through a lovely peach dawn that's pushing its way up into the clear blue sky. This week a friend mentioned the hippo at the zoo and seeing as Cal and I have never come across it, I think we'll go hippo-hunting when he wakes up. Here are some pics from this week.
