On The Up
There's been a lot of complaining around here. There's been too much cold and sickness and not enough sunshine and party times for our liking. But for the record, it's not all bad. In fact it's pretty good. Cal is his outrageously happy self again and is busy toddling around the house exploring doors, drawers and the underneath of things. He's also back at creche and now that he goes three days a week, there'll be a bit more wiggle room in our lives.
There'll be time to work on my book, time to plan dinners again instead of deciding on the fly in the Albert Heijn, and hopefully some David and Emma excursions away from our desks. The temperature is creeping up slowly. Six degrees tomorrow, seven the day after that. The magnolia buds are pushing through, sharp, bullet like and still furled tightly against the coldest March in years, but I'm pretty sure that spring will happen eventually.
This Easter weekend kind of snuck up on us, I had no idea it was happening until a few days ago, but we have some nice things planned. Dinner out just the two of us tomorrow night and an egg hunt on Monday for Cal. Happy Spring Festivus all. xx
