Lunch Date
It's been a bumpy few days with colds, sleepless nights, lots of work on David's part, and quite a few toddler tantrums, but today is a gift. Cal is with Oma and Opa and David and I got to have a lazy morning and lunch at the new restaurant down the road.
"Beer & Meat?" I just asked David how he'd describe the restaurant. He replied that I could figure it out seeing as I was the copywriter, but agreed that "Beer and Meat" would aptly sum it up. However, Beer and Meat doesn't communicate just how great the beer and meat was. Pulled pork sandwiches, micro-brewery beers... These two carnivores couldn't have been happier.
For so long Amsterdam has been a culinary wasteland, so it's exciting to see hip new places moving into the neighborhood and offering something other than Turkish pizza.
Brouw (Brew) is on the TenKatemarkt in the Kinkerbuurt.
