A Spare Hour
Last Saturday before guests arrived we had a very long hour to fill, so instead of driving each other nuts Cal and I decided to go shoot some wildlife. The Siamese cats down the street are usually pretty wary of Cal, but perhaps with hands steadied by his camera they were a little more trusting of him and let him get quite close, and he really did take some great shots. David jokes that Cal's photography reminds him of those art projects where people strap a camera to their cat's collar and then see where the cat has been that day. The shots are always beautifully poetic, full of intimate moments and bizarre angles.
