CROATIA IN APRIL

..Was colder than we'd hoped. So it wasn't quite the tropical trip I felt I deserved after surviving the first 4 months of baby-land, but regardless it was a welcome change of scenery from the bedroom, living room and Albert Heijn. We caught some nice family pics, which makes up for most travel horrors imo. (See family holiday to Sri Lanka)

We flew into Split, spent a night there and then ferried across to the island of Hvar. We then stayed in a sweet little spot called Jelsa, in a stone house right on the edge of the sea. The water was still very icy, but Cal and I did manage a couple of dips and snorkel sessions.

Unfortunately the weather was cold, wet and windy and with car-time out of the question (Stella says no) we were confined to the cabin. So after a couple days, we cut the trip short and came home to Amsterdam. But we did earn our traveling-with-two-kids badge and are excited for more adventures to come.
