A Day In The Dunes

For many years I was convinced that there's wasn't much to see beyond Amsterdam and Buren, but I'm starting suspect that I've been really wrong about the Netherlands. As I get older I crave nature so much more and as Cal's hiking skills improve, and before Stella is too big to carry, I'd like to get out there and explore a bit more. 

So last weekend we went to the Waterleidingduinen, which is just 40 mins drive from our house. It's a beautiful enclosed park of dunes and forest – jam-packed full of deer. Unfortunately, while we were there having a nice picnic, we saw one get shot in the head by a ranger at close range, but that's another story. For now, let's just enjoy these misty, grey, quiet, peaceful pics.
