Life Lately

The days are shortening but the mood is lightening with Trump out and a vaccine on the horizon. Here at home things are also settling back into a state of no-so-fucking-crazy-anymore. Because let's be honest that's what this past 12 months has been. 

Stella is finding her way at creche. She goes 4 days and still screams at drop off, but we receive happy updates throughout the day and the ladies tell us she's mostly very jolly there. What a relief after months and moooonths of so much childcare at home. In other updates she sleeps beautifully at night unless her feet are too hot (just like her Dad), and is still – praise the lord – not an early riser. 7.15 or later.

It helps that both kids hit the sack between 8-8.30 every night.

And sweet Cal is doing so well at school. We joke he's the easy/sane/favorite one at the moment, which tickles him after the mammoth amount of attention that Stella has sucked from his universe in the past 2 years. 

So with both kids back at school/ creche, David and I can find our way back into longer tracts of working hours, which we both really enjoy and can still be with the kids again at 3/4/5ish. It's a good set-up. Finally everything feels in balance again.
